Learning with Football Resource Pack (Primary 5 – 7 or Year 5 – 7)

This pack is a full term thematic teaching resource which provides a range of cross curricular lessons within a football context.

Lesson plans range from mathematics and the reinforcement of 2d shapes, angles and symmetry to literacy with ideas for creative and descriptive writing, talking and listening. The pack acts as a starting point for teachers to bring their own imagination to the lesson. Football really has limitless scope for bringing learning into the real world.

Skills for Life (S1 – S5 or Year 8 – Year 12)

Skills for Life is a resource pack developed by teachers which has a series of lesson plans aimed at engaging those pupils who are most difficult to reach by providing a range of cross curricular lessons within a football context.

The lessons tackle core ICT and literacy skills, PE, PSD, enterprise and mathematics and have been developed in line with a Curriculum for Excellence. Goal focussed, each lesson can be used standalone or as part of a whole project. The Skills for Life resource pack encourages pupil responsibility and ownership of learning.
