Commentary

Objectives

To provide a multi stage session to improve dribbling technique and soccer related fitness.

Setup

A - Player dribbles towards first section.
B - Player passes ball outside of section, jumps hurdle, sideways movement through cones and jumps hurdle
C - Player passes ball outside section and sideways movement diagonally from pole to pole
D - Player dribbles with ball to pole
E - Player passes ball to next pole and sideways movement to pole
F - Player passes ball to next pole and sideways movement to next pole
G - Player runs with ball to halfway line
H - Player runs with ball to by line
I - Player dribbles with ball to pole at halfway line
J - Player passes ball to the end of the cones and runs backwards in and out of cones
K - Player dribbles from pole to centre circle
L - Player weaves from centre spot to cone moving in a clockwise direction
M - Player completes exercise by dribbling to cone at by line.

Coaching points

Balance and soft touches with ball when dribbling.
Stronger touch on the ball when running with it.
Pace of passing.
